Description

Cody Raskin reported that VisIt 2.12.1 doesn't plot SPH data anymore. Here is the text of his bug report.

Just got around to trying out the new visit and it doesn’t look like SPH data is plottable any longer. When I choose pseudocolor, all of the regular fields are grayed out, and only fields that have integers (like domains) are selectable. Did something change about the way silo files are handled?

I re-assigned to Kevin. His name is right next to mine in the list and I think it was just an off-by-one error to have assigned me.

This is a Silo issue and related to how the simulation writes the files and some limitations with the current Silo implementation.

I don't have data to test and so have moved to 2.12.3

Kevin believes that Mark has fixed this. He will test it and add a test to the test suite.

SPH data is plottable in 2.12.2. There is already a test in the test suite (operators/sph_resample.py) that used one of the previously grayed-out fields. Apparently the grayed out fields are still accessible through Python since the test never failed.
